Guarding against US interference in Indian foreign policy

Posted by: aman on: November 29, 2007

What I have always failed to understand is the almost unconditional support to the Indo-US nuclear deal. Anyone with the temerity to question it and set some conditions has to be labelled a communist sissy without so much as a second thought to the concerns raised. Whether those concerns are valid or not could only [...]

Land of the free, with exceptions

Posted by: aman on: November 28, 2007

The highly delusional state of the US populace would be mildly entertaining, were it not for the gravity of the situation and the respect of basic human rights and the tenets of International law and democracy. United States is called the “land of the free and home of the brave”. Bravery, it seems, has taken [...]

Realpolitik: The maturing of India’s foreign policy

Scoble actually saw a [...]

Excellent article by Alan Bock on Antiwar.com about Blackwater and the impact of mercenaries. Even the much despised Machiavelli warned against the dependence on mercenaries like the US is currently doing in Iraq and within the US at the same time with Blackwater.
This is what Machiavelli said:
”Mercenaries and auxiliaries are useless and dangerous,” he wrote, [...]

The Age of Arm-chair activism

Posted by: aman on: October 2, 2007

The age of arm-chair activism has arrived and is flourishing. That is especially true; it seems, in the USA. The evidence of this is quite clearly visible by the innumerable blogs that are devoted in their opposition to the war and the current President of the USA – George W. There are also, literally, thousands [...]
